Fancy a sip of something fabulous? Mojitos, margaritas and Mai Tais are all well and good, but if you’re a casino jackpot winner you might want to toast with something a little more exclusive, and extravagant too. No need to worry, we’ve got just the selection of drinks you’re looking for – the world’s most expensive cocktails, to be exact. Get ready to order a round of sheer opulence!

1. Diamond is Forever – $22,600
If you like your drinks glittering, then we’ve got just the shot of sparkle you need – a one carat diamond, to be exact! That’s what the Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo is serving up as their famous ‘Diamond is Forever’ cocktail, and it comes with the whopping price tag you’d expect – an unbelievable $22,600! So what do you get with your cocktail, aside from a diamond? Turns out not much – a Grey Goose vodka martini with a fresh lime juice twist (we didn’t ask if it was shaken or stirred). But the bonus part is your cocktail doesn’t just come with a diamond, it comes with a band too, one that’ll play the song ‘Diamonds are Forever’ as you sip your cocktail and marvel at just how rich you really are. Just please, don’t drink the diamond, or recovering it could be an even more costly exercise!

2. Winston — $12,040
First served up at Club 23 in Melbourne, Australia in 2013, the Winston set a Guinness World Record for the world’s most expensive cocktail. Created by Joel Heffernan and named for the iconic Winston Churchill, the cocktail is made up of two $6,000 shots of 1858 Croizet Cognac, as well as Grand Marnier Quintessence and Chartreuse V.E.P. as well. Of course today the Winston has been outstripped in price, but that doesn’t mean it’s on the cheap side – one of these will still set you back an eye-watering $12,040. Oh and if you’re planning on ordering one, you’ll need to call in advance – the cocktail takes two days to make. We’re not sure why, but we’re going with it. Plus we’ll need the time to borrow the money to pay for it…

3. Ono Champagne Cocktail – $10,000
Oh no! We just remembered we don’t have $10,000 lying around the house – which means we’ll never get to taste the sheer opulence that is the Ono Champagne Cocktail, on the menu at the Encore Wynn hotel in Las Vegas. If you do have the money though, you’re in for a real treat – we’re talking the finest 1981 Charles Heidsieck champagne, $90,000 Louis XIII Black Pearl cognac, fresh orange juice and apricot juice, and rose nectar as well, all served up in a priceless jewel-studded glass, complete with a gold necklace on the side. Actually you know what, we’re going to go out and find that $10,000 right now, because this is one cocktail we NEED to be toasting to!

4. Salvatore’s Legacy – $9,230
When you’re at the Playboy Club in London, you expect to be served up something fabulous – and that’s exactly what award-winning mixologist Salvatore Calabrese created when he invented the unbelievable ‘Salvatore’s Legacy’. Incorporating some of the world’s finest (and oldest) spirits, Salvatore’s Legacy is crafted from 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac, late 1860s Dubb orange and 1770 Kummel Liqueur – a blend that earned the cocktail a Guinness World Record at the time. Obviously it’s no longer the world’s most expensive cocktail, but it still makes it onto this list, and onto our personal bucket list of cocktails we absolutely need to taste at least once in this lifetime. Or two times, or three times, or four times….

5. Sapphire Martini – $3,000
How do you take your martini? With gin, vodka, or sapphire earrings? Historically, martinis used to be made with gin and vermouth, although vodka martinis have become equally as popular – your choice of the dry or sweet (or both) vermouth. There’s more than alcohol in the Sapphire Martini from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut though – that’s because this one comes with a pair of sapphire and diamond earring served on the side, taking the price of the drink from a perfectly respectable $24 all the way up to an amazing $3,000! Something to drink, and something to wear at the same time – now that’s our kind of retail therapy!

6. Ménage a Trois – $3,000
Looking for something a little different? Then how about a Ménage a Trois? Not that kind though, before you freak out – this kind blends together three of the world’s finest alcoholic beverages, namely Cristal Rosé, Hennessy Ellipse, and Grand Marnier Cent Cinquantenaire. Order one of these at the Tryst Nightclub at Las Vegas’s Wynn Hotel, and you’ll have a bill of $3,000 to pay – but you’ll also have a cocktail embellished with 23-karat gold flakes, finished with gold syrup, and topped with a diamond-studded straw as well. Yes thank you, we’ll definitely take one! And maybe two or three…

7. Ritz-Paris Sidecar – $1,670
It’s a classic cocktail and it makes sense that it would have a classic price – particularly when served up at the hotel that claims to have originated it. It’s the Ritz-Paris Sidecar of course, a drink that’s been around since the 1920s, and is an indelible part of the glitz and glamour of the famed Hotel Ritz-Paris. What do you get in a Sidecar? In this one you’ll be treated to cognac bottled between 1830 and 1870, as well as triple sec and lemon juice, giving the cocktail its incredible price tag of $1,670. Not as expensive as some on this list, but definitely far more than your average night out. Which makes sense, as the Ritz-Paris Sidecar is anything but average!

Ready to place your order for one of these hugely extravagant blends of fabulousness? You’ll need a casino jackpot to help you pay the bill first! Simply log onto your favourite online casino and try your luck at your favourite games. Who knows – you could soon be ordering drinks covered in gold flakes and diamonds, and enjoying every minute of it. We’ll drink to that!

Happy Spinning 🙂
