Full Tilt Poker has earned quite a name for itself among high-stakes poker player with its long-running FTOPS tournament series, guaranteeing multi-millions in prizes to those who can afford to compete for the ultimate rewards. Although the site does offer a Mini-FTOPS series for less privileged members, the online poker room has decided to instate a new series of events designed specifically to accommodate its low-stakes players. The Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS) will see 75 events played across two weeks starting June 9.

Beginning this Sunday, Full Tilt will commence a massive series of low-cost tournaments with most buy-ins ranging from as little as $0.55 up to $5.50. The majority of these events are listed for No Limit Holdem, but a variety of other card games will be tossed into the mix, including Omaha, Stud, Razz, HORSE, Triple Draw, Badugi, Courchevel and Irish Poker, with structures attuned to no limit, fixed limit, pot limit, rush poker and knockout events.

As the name implies, each of the 75 events will be played in a Turbo format, meaning that the blind levels increase more rapidly than a standard tournament. Some have been heightened to Super Turbo and Escalator blind levels. Each event will offer multi-entry access as well, so that players who get knocked out early can re-buy into the event, as well as play in multiple tables if they wish, up to a predetermined maximum of tables per event. In addition, should any multi-tabler perform well enough to achieve more seats than there are tables remaining, two of their stacks will be combined into one.

Some of the more unique tournaments in the inaugural MTOPS include the starting event, designated for new poker tournament players only, a no-cost tournament that requires only 100 Full Tilt Points to enter, and of course the Main Event, which carries a buy-in of only $15 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000.

The opening event carries a $10k GTD prize pool and is dubbed the ‘New to the Game’ event. It will only accept the $1.10 buy-in from players at the online poker room who have competed in less than 75 multi-table tournaments over the course of their membership. Event #69, slated for Saturday, June 22 at 2pm, requires no cash buy-in, but rather a 100 point entry, guaranteeing $10k.

The Main Event has been slotted as Event #74, set to take place at 4pm on Sunday, June 23, the final day of the MTOPS series. It has the largest buy-in of the tournament, set at $15, and carries a massive $1 million prize pool guaranteed.

As usual, Full Tilt Poker will be hosting a series of sideline promotions that will award additional prizes, on top of the guaranteed $2 million to be won across all events. The MTOPS Leaderboard Challenge and Multi-Entry Challenge will dish out prizes to the top points earners and those who perform the best with multi-entries throughout the series. Any player who makes it to a final table at any MTOPS event will receive a free commemorative T-shirt, while all event winners receive an MTOPS Jacket and exclusive MTOPS Winner avatar.
