Bitcoin for Citizenship?
Antigua and Barbuda has recently changed its citizenship rules. They will accept payment in the form of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in exchange for citizenship. They are trying to get money back into their National Development Fund after having been cut down to $100,000 with last year’s hurricane trauma.
The price of this citizenship is 13 BTC. The good news is, they are well aware of the dangers accepting cryptocurrency can impose and their prime minister is all over it.
So, are we all going over to Antigua?
Happy Spinning 🙂
The move to accept cryptocurrencies for citizenship is visionary! 😊 Antigua and Barbuda’s strategic adoption is both progressive and forward-thinking, potentially attracting a new wave of tech-savvy global citizens. It’s refreshing to see national policies embracing digital innovation with such awareness.
