Man Wins 100K After Betting at the Stanley Cup!
Lucky Scott Berry had placed a $400 bet back in January at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. He bet that the St. Louis team would take the Stanley Cup. Some might have thought he was slightly crazy because, at the time, his odds at a win were 250:1. Not what you’d call the best of odds but, Berry placed his bet nonetheless.
Well, just a couple of short weeks ago, the St.Louis made history with a 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins and Stanley, got himself a nice fat payout. Stanley recalls the day he placed the bet and never thought in a million years that he would have actually gotten out ahead on this one. He states that he has so much faith in the team, he had to make a wager for them.
If this isn’t inspiration for everyone to follow your heart despite what the odds say, I don’t know what is!
