Bonus Poker Deluxe is an exclusive video poker game found at Microgaming online casinos. If you happen to come across a game of the same name at any other internet casino, the rules and/or payouts may vary from those detailed herein.

The most unique aspects of Bonus Poker Deluxe are that it features a special double-or-nothing game option every time the player wins a hand, and the payout for a 4 of a Kind is raised up ““ way up! It’s actually worth near 2x as much as a Straight Flush, which is traditionally classified as the better hand.

Let’s take a look at the basic screen options of Bonus Poker Deluxe.

Optional Coin Sizes: $0.25, $0.50, $1, $2, $5

  • Coins per Play: 1 to 5
  • Min / Max Bet: $0.25 / $25
  • Max Payout: 4000 Coins
  • Lowest Winning Hand: Pair of Jacks or Better

How to Play Bonus Poker Deluxe

Bonus Poker Deluxe Video Poker is played just like any other online video poker game. The player starts by selecting a coin size, using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to do so. Next, they will choose how many coins to bet. Simply clicking Bet Max will insert all 5 coins and deal the cards instantly, or the player can press Bet One as many times as needed to make the desired bet, then press Deal to start the game.

The player is dealt 5 cards, all face-up. Don’t be alarmed if some cards are already marked as HELD. Microgaming online casinos invoke an instant, mathematical strategy to help novices make the best decisions according to the likelihood of most probable winning hands. Players are NOT required to keep these cards. Simply clicking on a card will reverse its status from HELD to un-held, or vice versa.

When ready, press the Deal button. All un-held cards are removed from the hand, replaced by new cards, while all HELD cards remain in place. The 5-card hand that results is the final hand, immediately analyzed by the video poker machine and paid accordingly for a winning hand. When the player wins, the pay table highlights the hand rank and amount won. If the player loses, the bet is collected and a new hand is ready to begin.

As with all video poker machines found at Microgaming powered online casinos, a win is not just a win, but an opportunity to risk those winnings on a double-or-nothing wager. Players can forgo the Double option by clicking the Collect button and taking their winnings, or play the extra game by clicking on Double.

Bonus Poker Deluxe Double Feature

If a player chooses to play the Double feature, the screen changes to a new 5 card hand layout. The first card is visible, the other four are not. The player must choose one hidden card. If this card is higher in rank than the first, already exposed card, the player doubles their winnings. If not, the entire bet is lost and the screen returns to the standard video poker game.

Also note that when the Double feature is won, the player can continue to Double as many times as they wish, so long as they don’t lose; or click Collect to go back to the standard video poker game.
