How to Play Jackpot Deuces Progressive Video Poker
Jackpot Deuces is a fantastic video poker game that follows the same standard rules of Deuces Wild Video Poker, but carries a progressive jackpot that can build over time to astronomical heights. In this standard 52-card poker game, all Deuces (2’s) are wild. Anytime a Deuce appears in a player’s hand, it automatically takes on the value of the most appropriate card to create the highest ranking hand possible.
Because the chances of developing a winning poker hand are higher with wild cards in the mix, the pay table is reduced. The lowest winning hand becomes a 3 of a Kind, not the usual Pair of Jacks or Better, and a Full House only pays 3-to-1, not the common 7-, 8- or 9-to-1.
The Jackpot Deuces progressive jackpot will only be activated if a player inserts the maximum 5 coins. Inserting 1-4 coins will not release the jackpot. Microgaming’s progressives are networked across all of its online casinos, thus they can grow at a very rapid pace. Every time a player inserts all 5 coins, a portion of the bet is added to the progressive jackpot.
The rules and pay table listed below relate specifically to the Jackpot Deuces Progressive Video Poker game developed by Microgaming. Any land-based or online casino powered by a different software brand may offer a variable pay table.

Five cards are dealt face up. This is your starting hand. If any Deuces are dealt, they will clearly be marked with a Wild symbol, so don’t get rid of them. Clicking on any card will produce a HELD sign, meaning you want to keep that card. Click each card you want to keep so it says HELD. If you click a card by mistake, simply click it again to remove the HELD sign.
When you are ready, click Deal and all of the un-held cards will be replaced with new ones to produce your final 5-card hand. Note that any Deuces will automatically take on the denomination of the best possible card to produce the highest ranking hand. If your hand ranks high enough to win””3 of a Kind or better””the corresponding hand rank and payout will be highlighted on the pay table. If not, the bet is lost.
Microgaming incorporates a unique Double feature on all winning hands. The player can click the Double button if they want to risk their winnings on a double-or-nothing game, or click Collect to keep the winnings.
