PKR Launches 3D Mobile Poker App for Apple iOS
PKR Poker has spent years innovating the online poker industry with its stunning next generation 3D graphic technology and wholly realistic table atmosphere. After testing its first iOS mobile gambling app in a play-money setting that offered two popular casino gaming options, the site has finally announced the launch of its 3D real-money mobile poker app, optimized for Apple iOS devices and offering much the same great card gaming experience as the original online version.
PKR’s new mobile poker app gives players a choice of 40 unique avatars to choose from, all designed for realistic body movement, behavior and mannerisms. Players can use mood icons to change their avatar’s disposition, emote options to relay basic movements and the site’s classic chip trick stunts to show off on the virtual felt. In addition, there are 20 diverse playing environments to choose from. A complete in-game chat system has been integrated to allow players to converse with one another, just as they would on a real live poker table.
The real-money mobile poker app was designed to operate seamlessly on all Apple iOS powered devices, including all version of the iPhone 4 and higher, as well as the iPad. Ostensibly, PKR used its previous release of play-money blackjack and roulette tables for iOS devices, which were made available in September of last year, to test and tweak the mobile software to their liking, and the liking of their members, before launching the highly anticipated three-dimensional poker technology for Apple-friendly mobile users.
“We couldn’t be any more psyched about launching our real-money poker on mobile,” said a representative from PKR in a statement regarding the new mobile poker app’s release. “It really is our ‘monster hand’ and it’s awesome to see so many downloads already. If you’re jetting off on holiday but need to wait around in the airport for three hours before the flight you can just whip out the iPhone and enter a sit-and-go. That’s probably the coolest thing for us and the app is only going to get better over time.”
The PKR mobile poker app was launched last week, and has already undergone its first update on June 12, fixing a strain of bugs found in the original version. According to the current 248 ratings on the Apple AppStore (at the time of writing), PKR is receiving rave reviews, earning 4.5 out of a possible 5 stars. The system requirements for iOS users state that the PKR mobile poker app is optimized for the iPhone 5 but is fully compatible with all “iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad” running iOS 5.0 or later.
PKRs 3D poker application is also available for Android mobile devices and tablets, having been released earlier than the Apple iOS application. The real-money version of PKR 3D mobile is currently only presented to residents of the United Kingdom. All other regions are permitted to participate in play-money games only.
