Unlike online casinos, poker sites are a lot less prone to handing out no deposit bonuses to their new players. If they did, players would be building bankrolls out of nothing on a daily basis. However, just because poker promotions rarely bestow a traditional no deposit bonus doesn’t mean that there is no way to build a bankroll without making a deposit.

Long ago, when anyone first learned to play poker, they were taught 5 Card Draw, or Stud Poker. These days, Texas Hold'em is the dominating poker game. Over the last 5 years or so, there is another form that had risen in the ranks known as Omaha Poker.

The best way to describe the rake at an online poker room is by comparing it to paying taxes. When the government takes a portion of our hard earned pay, it is used to fund the country's expenses. When an online poker room takes a rake, it is used to fund the operations of the web site and, of course, initiate a profit for the owners of the online poker room.
