Yggdrasil Gaming really hit it out of the park with this one. Penguin City is a 5 reels and 243 payline Arctic-themed slot. And let’s face it, might be just the thing we need to cool down in this summer heat!
Sliding right into the good stuff: your regular wild feature will be found on reels 2 and 4 only. It will substitute for all other symbols in the game. If your wild is part of a win it will be Sticky for your next spin and any win on a wild during your base game activates the Penguin Escape Mode.
The Penguin Escape Mode uses a separate set of reels. You will find penguins to the left of the reels with conveyor belts moving just below your reels as well as 2 bumpers that look like flippers. Picture an old arcade game. One spin gets one penguin to jump and try to escape. If he falls, he drops in the hole. If the penguin escapes, he gives you a wild on a winning spin. This feature continues until there are no more wins left.
There is a little symbol called the Stacked Emperor Wild and it will show up on reel 3 during the Penguin Escape Mode. It guarantees you a win! Your stacked wild moves down 1 position every spin. Please note that you won’t find any Penguins trying to make their big escape while the Emperor is on the reels!
